No. FastBots is set up as an information and intake tool, not a clinical one. It can't diagnose, recommend dosing, advise on interactions or replace pharmacist judgement. Any clinical question is routed to your pharmacist on live chat or via a callback request — that boundary should be written into the bot's instructions on day one.
+
Not directly. The chatbot collects the request — customer name, phone number, prescription or medication name where appropriate — and emails it to your team to action in your pharmacy management system. It doesn't connect to dispensing software and doesn't move medications through a workflow on its own.
+
FastBots is GDPR compliant and doesn't share uploaded data to train OpenAI models, but we don't currently offer a signed BAA or HIPAA-specific configuration. The practical answer: don't ask customers to share prescription numbers, dates of birth, insurance IDs or specific medical details in chat. Use it for general info, refill requests with minimal contact details, and pharmacist handover.
+
Yes, on the Business plan ($89/month) and above. Live chat lets a pharmacist or technician claim a conversation, see what's already been said and reply in real time during the hours you set. Outside those hours, the bot collects contact details for a callback the next working day.
+
Not natively. FastBots doesn't have a direct connection to systems like PioneerRx, Liberty or PrimeRx. Through Zapier or Make workflows you can push captured leads (refill requests, transfer enquiries) into a spreadsheet, task tool or anywhere your team checks daily, but the chatbot itself doesn't read or update PMS data.
+
FastBots is an AI chatbot first, but it can behave more like an AI agent when you turn on live internet search or connect a workflow. For a pharmacy that usually means gathering refill or transfer details across a multi-turn conversation, deciding when to escalate to a pharmacist, and pushing the captured information to your team through Zapier or Make once the chat ends.
+
Two layers. First, set Knowledge Sources to your own trained content so it answers from your website and notes rather than general AI knowledge. Second, write custom instructions that explicitly forbid clinical advice, drug recommendations and collecting prescription numbers or insurance IDs. You can also add a default fallback that always offers pharmacist handover.

Start free — 1 chatbot, 50 messages a month, no credit card. Paid plans start at $39/month (Essential) for a customer-facing pharmacy bot. Live chat with pharmacist handover sits on the Business plan at $89/month. See the pricing page for current limits and add-ons.

Around 95 languages. If your community speaks Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Arabic or anything else, the bot can answer in the customer's language and you'll see the transcript translated in your chat history on eligible plans.

Around 5 minutes for a first version. Point it at your website, let it crawl, set the guardrails (no medical advice, always offer pharmacist handover), and paste the embed snippet onto your homepage. From there you'll refine the answers as you see what real customers ask.
